Afternoon all, I knew I was coming down with something and I am now full of a cold, swollen glands, sore throat, no voice and earache..... so no crafting today :'(

As I'm feeling sorry for myself I've been having a little tidy up and sort out and thought it was about time I did a little blog candy, nothing too fancy just a few bits and pieces of papers, flowers, buttons, buckles, glitter glue, rock a blocks, scalloped scissors, envelopes, envelope score board and a pile of ribbon and die cut flower shapes and a few little tags, a few charms..... and some handmade twine!

New Papers...... New Beginnings.....

Not feeling great at all today, wish it was warmer or I was somewhere nice and warm............

But it is the first of the month and another new challenge over at Cupcake Craftroom.... this month we have some fab pinky papers to play with.... I think this collection is called 'Life Life In Love' ..... I couldn't decide which to play with so here are a couple of cards using lots of papers.....

Good Morning & Happy Monday.....

I had a fab time at the ball I need to get the pics of hubby's phone but he's in work so will have to upload a few later, we didn't take many as I was too busy nattering and dancing, company and food was great but I am paying for it now and this cold weather on top, my body is reacting so having to take things easy again....so I don't know what my creativity is going to be like this week, maybe a bit basic as I haven't got anything made in advance for this week!

Morning.... well I didn't sleep last night was wide awake till 4am tried to get to sleep, hubby got up at 5am for work and managed to dose for an hour or so but my cat kept waking me up demanding my attention and I feel like a zombie....

Carpenter Joe......

Good morning.... half way through the week and I am finally getting my hair cut and coloured today..... it has been a long time! I am really looking forward to our Venetian Masked Gala Ball on Saturday and believe it or not it was cheaper for me to book a night in the hotel in breakfast, use of the swimming pool and gym and free parking than a return taxi..... So we are having a little weekend away, so I suppose I have to call into Cardiff for a little shop.... I'm so excited it's like a date weekend! I do hope my condition doesn't play up , so staying focused and having a relaxing few days and not overdoing it!

Morning.... Hope everyone is having a good start to the week... I am feeling a little better today after my brain fog day yesterday. I have something to look forward too on Saturday we are going to a Masked Gala Ball, we ordered our masks last night so can't wait for it to arrive I have gone for a lace bat mask, and to top it off my dress fits too, so now it's just the hair that need sorting!

90th Birthday Card....

Morning, hope everyone's had a good weekend.... First post of today and this morning, I have a male card to share that I made last night, I was asked to make a 90th Birthday Card, it took me ages to try and put something together, but think it turned out ok-ish with no flowers, butterflies or bling!

I have used my old Men's waistcoat stamp,

I have stamped on to 3 different cardstock and cut out to decoupage

Printed off a few sentiments, my Mather Stewart border punch and a few gems

Saturated Canary....

Morning, hope everyone is having a good weekend and enjoying today, I couldn't sleep last night so was up till early hours this morning colour and I finished this card this morning, I was going to enter the Saturated Canary GDT spot but the link has been closed... never mind at least I have a card to share!!!

The image I have used is so sweet, she is called Nevaeh from Saturated Canary, I am so in love with Krista's images and I need a few more pennies to get some more as they are so fab to colour.

I have coloured with ProMarkers, I decided not to go all pink and girly, but girly and Apricot...I have been trying out a few different colour combos that I wouldn't normally do. I kinda like these apricot tones and makes me dream of cruising and fine dining....

Creative Baker's Twine

Morning, up early this morning, hubby got up to go to work at 5am and I couldn't get back to sleep, so I have been having a little play this morning with some fine white crochet cotton and making my own bakers twine....

I cannot take credit for this fab ideas as I seen something over on Pinterest on how to make

Here's the link to a video tutorial that I found so thought I'd have a go with a few tweaks. Here's how I've done it, not 100% the same, but anything to save a few penny and get creative with what I have!

Simple really, some white cotton thread, ProMarkers, ruler, double sided tape and scissors

The video tutorial shows straight vertical lines

but I decided to tweak it and have a go with diagonal lines

Not bad I think I will use it, just wish my cotton was a little thicker!

So now I need to make some cards with it on....

Charles Just Relax....

Good morning..... I'm still without heating and hot water, I am so cold and smelly I really need a bath! I do hope they can fix it today otherwise I will be going down my mum's house as I cannot get warm, I'm dressed with fleece and dressing gown on and still cold.

I do hope you all are having a good weekend I haven't anything planned apart from food shopping today, there is the dreaded cleaning and ironing, my ironing pile has grown into a mountain once again and needs tackling, but whether I get this done this weekend is a big ask so I might just leave till Monday.....

I do have a card to share again today, I'm really getting into the crafty seat again and loving every minute of it so I do hope I'm back for good, but still get the odd bad day when I can't do anything at all, anyway enough waffle and on to the craft!

I have made a really girly card pink, floral and bling birthday card for a princess this evening after seeing so many sweet girly cards out there whilst blog surfing today.

Afternoon, I feel like a new woman today despite not sleeping last night, I have coloured my hair which was well over due so now I'm auburn colour a bit of red to brighten me up! I have made a card this morning not for any particular challenge or DT card, but just because I fancied making one and getting back into crafting.

I have used Gipsy Heart one of the new stamp releases from Crafty Sentiments Designs, I think she is really pretty and has that magical feeling about her. The border die is also from Crafty Sentiments shop....

So here is my card....

Not my usual colours but do think it works

not something I would go for but fancied something a little different.

Finally a card & experiment.....

Afternoon peeps, well I finally managed to make a card after my little attack of my condition, I knew it was brewing all week as I did not feel right, but I a feeling a little better today, a big thank you for all your kind messages.

Anyway on to my card and experiment..... When I was sorting my craftroom out I found a pile of pencils that me mum bought me over 17 years ago when I was in school, called Berol Karismacolor. I remember nagging for these pencils they were so expensive too, I think they were £2-£4 per pencil and had a waxy finish to them, so for a trip down memory lane I decided to have a go colouring with them and I had a bit of turps and a derwent blender stump thing... It is not the best my first attempt and colours not that great but I had a go, oh and some derwent metallic pencils too.

For my card I have used one of Crafty Sentiments brand new stamps that have just been released called Annabel Mermaid....I think it's cute enough for a birthday, valentine with the hearts, a just because, well not sure what I will use it for yet but this card should have been on for Tuesday as Craft Sentiments have a water theme challenge this week so here is my card a few days late!

Well after sorting my little craft room out ready to craft I have not made a thing :( Not feeling myself the last couple of days so not going to overdo it, so going to take it easy till I feel ok.

I have learnt my lesson the hard way, so I don't want to have another bad attack of my condition, it is all about pacing and to do lists according to occupational therapist so doing as I've been told for a change, but I do hope have something to share soon, so watch this space!

Cleaning craft room journey.....

No card to share today just progress of cleaning my craft room from junk/store room back to a proper craft space..... All ready to make but going to have some lunch first, I also have all my crochet, cross stitch, sewing and knitting stash to sort which is temporary in spare bedroom, that is a mess, but will do another day I think :)

Blog Surfing & Fresh Card Making Start for 2012.....

I have spent over 3 hours this evening and still doing so....... blog surfing, there are so many talented card makers in our blogland.... I have loved every minute of it!

I do hope to be back in my craft room this coming and week and get making once again, I do hope I am back crafting for good, I have seen some wonderful creations tonight and I have missed so much over the last 7 months or so.... Let's hope I can make some stuff that I am happy with.

First things on my list is to:

1. Sort out my room lights not great in this new house so will have to get a good lamp as my pictures of my cards are not good at all...

2. Sort my room out I have so many boxes on my desk that I have kept to put things in, so first off re-organise and sort my craft stash and room out....

3. Get printing, stamping and colouring...

4. Make some cards....

5. Finally enter some challenges....

6. Most importantly keep visiting blogs and leaving some love, maybe only a little line of a few words but still, visiting crafters...

I am now supercharged and ready to craft, probably won't sleep tonight now!

I just thought I'd share some of my cards that I did make last year before Illness took over and I lost the plot! JUst to remind me of where I left off....

Good morning everyone, it's back to normality today for me, hubby back in work and the house is sooooo silent, so I need to crack on with the housework, nice new year clean through and then on the kinect for some fitness.... and maybe a little crafting before I drop!

Good afternoon, long time MIA.... well my new years resolution is to get me health sorted, lose weight & get fit, sort and de-clutter house, organise my clothes to outfits instead of miss match outfits and craft, ORGANISE ORGANISE ORGANISE, starting off with to-do lists!!!

Happy mid week all,

I am currently down my Mum's house waiting for the Gas Engineer, Mum is lucky to be sunning herself in Spain but her boiler is broke so I am here waiting for it to be repaired so the house will be warm and cosy for her return.....

Good morning, hope you all had a good weekend, I tried to relax as much as I could and had to sort out a mountain of paperwork.... Went for a little lunchtime swim yesterday to try and relax and try strengthen my muscles and wow does my body know it did a little workout...but really enjoyed it!

I know I haven't shared any cards over the last few days I have been trying something a little different been doing a little knitting and crochet and will share what I have been up to soon..

I am totally out of black ink too, which is a nightmare, so today I have two cards to share using stamps, they are two Christmas cards something a little different for me but I am sure I will send these out this year!

Second post for me today.... Well it has been a long time since I made a Crafty Sentiments Designs card. Yes I have had fun and have gone all pink and lots of bling and glitter, well a little over the top I think! So here it is...

I am off to relax now as body is aching and telling me to stop for today, I know I shouldn't over do it as it makes me worse but I am still learning to cope with it all and push the boundaries. I've had a letter for an MRI Brain scan today for the 8th of November and another saying that I am still under investigation for Dystonia and will be reviewed in another 3 months with the neurologists.... apparently I do not fit the age group for Dystonia but have the symptoms and a few other strange things going on, anyway they have written to the health insurance company from work stating that my symptoms do limit my ability to carry out day to day activities limiting my physical ability. So still ongoing but hey say I should improve gradually but this has been going on for nearly 9 years now which started as a little twitch on my lip to affect my full right side head to toe and my arm and hands, what a roller-coaster of ups and downs I am dreading the colder weather as it makes me worse....

Morning, I do hope you are all well and enjoying what ever you are up to today. I think I may do a little crafting today but have a mountain of washing to do, but to start the day off I have finally managed to take some pics this morning, weather still not great really miserable but have got some ok-ish pics to share...as I type this the sun is trying to shine through, must have listened to me lol.....

Yesterday was a relaxing day for me as I'm trying not to over do it. I explored several blogs yesterday not just card making ones but all sorts, I had hours of fun reading, some people write beautiful posts such a shame I'm not so creative with the writing, words just fail me when I come to post.

Now here is something else I have been trying out, please don't laugh but I have attempting some crochet, something I haven't done since I was a child. i am trying to use my hands a little more to help with movement... So here it is a little blue bunny, I will try better next time...

And here are some tatted snowflakes and flowers that I am going to put on my tree this year, they are not finished yet the need to be stiffened with starch and maybe a little glitter.... they are so easy and quick to make I need to experiment some ore with shapes and sizes I will take better pics when I have finishes them!

Monday once again and a very fresh start for the week and from now on for me :) some of you know what I'm talking about and we have done it, yay, feeling much better mentally now.... I would like to thank you all for your kind comments and birthday messages on here and facebook!

I have another LOTV Christmas card to share wth you this afternoon and it is another traditional coloured card, I do hope you like it. I have really enjoyed getting back into crafting the last few days and considering doing some DT work again, well that is if anyone will have me lol!

Annabel Witch!

Good morning all, I am not really into the Halloween cards as such but Suzette the owner of Crafty Sentiments sent me this cute little witch called Annabel............

I think she is just adorable and had to colour her in last night, I have woke with a nasty headache this morning across my eyes and bridge of my nose but just had to make a card to put her on, not too sure of the card but do think she is sweet!

Another LOTV Christmas Card.....

Good afternoon....

I have made another card today I love this LOTV image it reminds me of my hubby I think I will make him one like this for Christmas... Weather is nasty here today so grey and dull and wet and it is playing havoc with my body I am aching all over so taking it easy even though I have cleaned the kitchen but have been told off by Hazel.....ooopppss I am naughty. Anyway enough waffle here is my creation for today and yes another red and white traditional coloured Christmas Card!

First Card in a long time....

Well I finally made a card this morning..... I know long time away from crafting, so nervous in making my first card again but here it is a Christmas LOTV card. I have gone traditional for this one, red, green and white, well it is more red and white with a little green on his jumper. So this is my first Christmas card to go in my box for this year.

No card to share just yet.....

Had a good morning at the craft show in Cardiff only managed an hour and half or so walking around but got a few LOTV stamps and some pearls and some basic white cardstock, as so lucky as my mum gave me my birthday money a week early.

Anyway been a busy little bee sorting out my little craftroom so I can find everything I am nearly ready to get back into card making and have mounted my LOTV stamps, so in theory all systems ready to go but I must admit I am a little nervous of where to start and what to do as I haven't made anything in such a long time.... lacking a little confidence I suppose.

I have done a bit too much today with cleaning house, washing and preparing my craft room so I am going to take it easy and maybe start to make something tomorrow as my neck, shoulder and back is killing.... so off for some painkillers and watch some soaps I think and blog hopping.

Long time missing.....

Good morning,

I am finally back online and back in blogland, yay! I have been having a little look around your blogs this morning to see what I have been missing, there are some wonderful creations out there, love all your work, been to Vixx, Kerry Cox, Katina, Crafty Sentiments, Shell, Dora, Rebekah, Marianne, AJ, Hazel and now off to have a look at more, I will leave some comments in the next few days too......I am really missing crafting so hoping to have a real play soon.

To get some inspiration and creative juices flowing I am going to go to the craft show in Cardiff tomorrow, it's about time I got out of the house and have a wonder, so early start for me tomorrow going to go to work with hubby at 6am ish and wait in the car till show opens, might have a bacon sandwich from Trav's van.... lets hope I get through the day ok and can walk ok.

On the health front I have seen my neuro and have increased my meds to Siement Plus and have increased my botox injections both volume and quantity, so let's hope it is all coming together, just waiting for another MRI, and under docs orders need to get out and start walking around.... so what better way to do it at a craft show, I am not planning on buying anything as I am skint but will blog tomorrow night, and might have a card or 2 to show at the weekend...

Missing in action.....

Evening all......

Just thought I'd do a quick note as some of you are wondering where I am, well I'm still not feeling too good, I am still off work....

But I am seeing a few neuros one hospital says Dystonia the other hospital neuros wants to wait and review every 3 months and various medications which makes me very drowsy like a zomie, same as usual waiting for appointments as usual backlog of patients apparently when I called today to chase my 3 month appointment due in May.

Seeing GP too as a form of depression has kicked in too along with all the strange things going on...

Getting physio, which is good, well that's when I'm up to going as get put through exercises and pulled and pushed....

So all in all going through the mill!

I have had to step down from all DT posts for now, but do hope to be crafting and back blogging in a few months I hope.
